Meet Pastor Tony Mobley
I Am Your Virtual Pastor
For over 50 years, I have served in churches as a youth pastor, evangelism minister, and associate minister. I have worked as an educator and social worker because I believe ministry does not stop at the church door. It meets people where they are.
Today, I serve alongside Pastor Patsy L. Willis at Miracle Bible Church of Christ in Macon, Georgia, and I host “Conversations with Tony Mobley,” a YouTube show exploring technology, the arts, faith, and culture.
Virtual Faith Connections was born from a simple truth: the church has never been a building. It has always been the people. And in this digital age, we can reach the whole world with the Gospel, one connection at a time.
My Journey
I grew up in a household where faith and service were inseparable. My father was a minister, and from an early age I understood that following Christ meant showing up for people, not just on Sundays, but every day of the week.
After graduating from Morehouse College with a degree in Religion and Philosophy, I pursued seminary training and was ordained into the ministry. But my calling has never been confined to the pulpit. I spent decades in education, working with young people in schools and community organisations. I became a licensed social worker because I saw that spiritual health and practical support go hand in hand.
Over the years, I have served as a youth pastor nurturing the next generation, an evangelism minister carrying the Gospel beyond church walls, and an associate minister supporting congregations through seasons of growth and challenge.
Why Virtual Ministry?
The pandemic showed us what many of us already knew: the church is not a building. When doors closed, the Body of Christ did not stop meeting. We adapted. We connected through screens and phone calls and prayer chains that stretched across time zones.
Virtual Faith Connections takes that spirit and makes it permanent. This is not a temporary solution. This is the future of how we reach the unreached, comfort the isolated, and equip believers wherever they are.
I am especially passionate about helping older adults and those who are homebound. Technology should not be a barrier to fellowship. If Zoom feels intimidating, we will walk you through it. If you do not know how to stream a service, we will teach you. Nobody gets left behind in this congregation.
